Major Daniela Tricca got the Master degree in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Electromagnetism, both from "La Sapienza" University of Rome, Italy.
In 2005 she joined the Scientific Investigation Department (RIS) in Carabinieri Corps, dealing with forensic computer crime.
In 2006 she moved to the High Tech Crime Department (RTI), dealing with technical and scientific databases, and then since 2012 she has been in charge as Commander of the newborn Forensic Electronic Unit.
Her activity is mainly focused on data recovery from damaged electronic devices (hard disk drives, mobile phones, digital videorecorders) and on reverse engineering of not standard and hand made equipments. Recently, the Forensic Electronic Unit has expanded its interest in the emerging fields of Drone Forensics and Automotive Forensics.
Major Tricca has worked as technical consultant of the Court in some prominent cases.
